About the site

This site is a personal journal of my travels through different wine regions. I fell in love with wine country the first time I visited. It all started in 2005 when I took my first trip to Napa Valley with a friend. Since then I have become a self-proclaimed wine geek who seeks out any opportunity to learn about wine and sample new wines. I visit Napa and Sonoma Valley at least yearly and have been to over 150 wineries. I started keeping a journal of each winery that I have been to so that I can remember the experience. With some urging from my husband, I created this website to share my experiences with others who are interested.

I do not claim to be a wine expert and I have no affiliation with the wine industry. I strongly believe that wine is a personal preference and know that my experiences at a winery may differ from someone else’s due to personal preferences, my mood when I visited, or the customer service I received. Therefore, I am sharing my experiences simply to give a little insight into the wineries I have been to and offer some advice on where to visit.  My primary focus is on Napa and Sonoma because I have been to over 150 wineries in those areas, but I can also share experiences I’ve had in other places.  Your experience may be very different than my own and I’d love to hear about it.
